Sutton Bonington Hopper bus diversion and congestion Update

Thursday, 13 February 2020
Due to the continued traffic congestion within Nottingham  we are experiencing significant delays to the Sutton Bonington Hopper bus services

Update

This has now cleared and The hopper bus has now reverted back to using the original route with all stops now back in operation.

Whilst one lane is open there is still heavy traffic and congestion around the network so please take extra time for your journeys.

We will continue to  monitor the situation and will put out other messages as and when needed.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The original article now follows

To improve connectivity and reliability we are now running a slightly different route. The 901 service between University Park and Sutton Bonington will be routed out to junction 25 of the motorway and in to Sutton Bonington via Kegworth (please be aware there will be no standing allowed on this route).

This means that the following stops WILL NOT be served on the outbound journey.

  • Clifton Boulvard, Showcase Cinema ( KMC)
  • Clifton, NTU
  • Clifton, Park and Ride

The Sutton Bonington to University Park service will continue to follow the usual route. Anyone wishing to travel via the three above destinations whilst en-route to Sutton Bonington should make alternative arrangements - we advise boarding a bus to and from these locations on the inbound journey.

We will continue to monitor the situation and hope that services will return to normal shortly.
