Description

The Women’s Staff Network (WSN) are delighted to offer their March 2021 Parents’ Café as part of the University’s first diversity festival. The theme of the café will be supporting and celebrating all kinds of families.

As well as providing an opportunity for mutual support and sharing, the session will be particularly focused on the fact that modern families can be created in a range of ways, take all kinds of shapes, and draw on many different ways of parenting (not least in a world of lockdowns, bubbles and inhibited travel).   Please come along to share your experiences.  We will look at producing a recommended reading list for both adults and children about different kinds of families, so do bring your recommendations if you have any!

The Parents’ Café is open to any member of staff who identifies as a parent and attendees do not need to be a member of the WSN.  We particularly welcome contributions from colleagues currently away from work on any kind of parental leave, so please share the details of the session with such colleagues who may not be accessing their emails at present (in line with their stated preferences for receiving information whilst away).

There’s no need to register, just join on your computer or mobile app.
