Keynote event: Painters, sharks and crimson waves

Friday 12 March 2021, 11.30am

A panel discussion exploring period inequality and stigma that is often associated with menstruation, chaired by Stacy Johnson MBE, featuring Nadia Whittome MP, Moss Mitson and Dr Supriya Garikipati

This event seeks to understand what period inequality is, what the effects are, who is impacted and why there is stigma around speaking openly about periods.

The panel session is open to everyone. People who menstruate and people who don’t. We'd like to improve people’s understanding and change people’s perceptions around menstruating and debunk myths along the way.

Our panelists are from a diverse range of backgrounds to help to generate deep insight into this important area.
