The School of Economics is delighted to welcome Rachel Reeves, a British economist and Labour Party politician who from 2000-2006 worked as an economist at the Bank of England and British Embassy in Washington, D.C.  She has served as the Member of Parliament for Leeds West since 2010, was Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions 2013-15 and in 2007 was elected Chair of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee.
