Elke joined the School in December 2003 after graduating from Bonn (Dipl.-Volkswirt) and working as a Research Associate at the University of Erfurt where she also completed her Ph.D. Her research interests lie in the area of behavioural and experimental economics, game theory and organization theory. Her work on the design of efficient economic organisations has focused on microfinance institutions and corruption behaviour. Current projects include cooperation problems and leadership. She has published in journals including Science, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Law, Economics, & Organization and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.
