Biography
I joined the University in June 2000, having previously worked in regional print journalism. My experience working as a reporter for local weekly and daily publications gave me an excellent grounding in the news-gathering and contact building skills which underpinned my work in the Press Office as Media Relations Manager for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. I have since stepped up to the role of Head of News, leading the Press Office team of Media Relations Managers supporting the University's faculties.
I am passionate about science communication and love working in a job where we get to tell stories about amazing people and how their research is changing lives and making the world we live in a better place.
