Outreach Officer (Primary), Faculty of Registrars
The Widening Participation Team leads the University's work to engage learners from less advantaged backgrounds in education and support their progression to higher education, including the University of Nottingham. The Team delivers over 80,000 places on more than 3,400 outreach activities each year. We support measures across the student lifecycle relating to admissions, success, financial support and progression.
I'm part of the Primary Schools Team in Widening Participation. We deliver outreach activities for 5-11 year olds both on campus and in schools. Our projects are for schools in areas where children would not typically progress to university. They are designed to:

My role within the team is to lead and support a variety of outreach projects to help raise the aspirations of Primary aged children to Higher Education. I am primarily involved in running the "Exploring Aspirations", "Discovery Day" and "Learning Journey" projects, which support learning in local schools.
