Biographical details

From Buenos Aires, she was the sister of Rosa Fuentes y Arguibel de Maza, second cousin of Manuelita Rosas. She married Juan Bautista Rosas, the son of the governor of Buenos Aires, in September 1835. She was close to Manuel Rosas's family and accompanied them when they fled after defeat at Caseros. She was in England for some years before returning to La Plata, during this time she corresponded with Manuelita Rosas. (Sosa de Newton, 250)
