Biographical details

Born in Ica. She was extremely wealthy. She made no secret of her pro-independence sympathies and her neighbours betrayed her. She remained calm, not fearing imprisonment or threats of death. She remained serene during her long months in prison. (GarcĂa y GarcĂa, 245)
