Biographical details

In November and December 1808 he was a member of a group based in Quito that conspired against the Spanish authorities. Their plot was due to have been carried out in March 1809, but the plan was discovered in February 1809. He took part in the short-lived overthrow of the Quito audiencia on 19 August 1809 and was imprisoned in October 1809. He was killed on 2 August 1810. (Monsalve, 39, 43, 103)
