Biographical details

She was born in Catamarca in the 18th century. She and her two sisters founded the first school for girls in Catamarca. It opened on 15 October 1809 with a group of 16 girls. Orphaned girls were cared for there. She died before it opened, but her sister, Severa, worked there for several years. (Sosa de Newton, 674)
