The
Centre for Geospatial Science (CGS),
University of Nottingham have has agreed the invitation to join the
gvSIG Association as Honorary Member and signed collaboration agreement becoming the first research centre in UK to be accepted as Honorary member of the gvSIG Association. The agreement was signed by Mrs. Amelia del Rey on behalf of the gvSIG Association as Business Development Manager and Dr. Suchith Anand on behalf of the Centre for Geospatial Science, University of Nottingham.
The gvSIG Association is an international non-profit organization with the mission to promote the use of technologies based on the principles of the FOSS as defined by the Free Software Foundation, for GIS applications. The gvSIG Association also aims to develop and promote the use of the FOSS4G software gvSIG. Details at
