Big congratulations to the School of Health Sciences Robin Hood Half Marathon team, who crossed the finish line on Sunday's event, having so far raised nearly £1000 for Dream Big Ghana (including gift aid), smashing their target of £750!
Dream Big Ghana is a charity situated in the Volta region on the coast of Ghana, with a population of 10,000 people. The charity builds compost toilets in villages where there is no sanitation, making life more comfortable and generating great fertilizer for the sandy soil. Having reached their target of £750, the team have raised enough for a new compost toilet to be built!
The team would like to thank everybody for their support and generous donations. The Virgin Money Giving page is still open for any further donations until 31 October 2016.
