The Bridge Network, a brand new mental wellbeing initiative which will run peer support groups and has been co-produced by staff and students within the School of Health Sciences, is planning a launch event in February. The event will coincide with Time to Change’s ‘Time to Talk Day’ – a campaign to raise awareness of mental health issues and encourage people to talk about it.
A stand will be set up in the Medical School foyer from 1-3pm on Thursday 1 February 2018. Students can come along and meet some of the peer support volunteers who have received full training, and find out more about the network.
The peer support groups will be running regularly from February until the end of April and resume after a short summer break.
