This resource considered the importance of assessing the environment for risk. The environment is part of the TILE risk assessment and equipment needs to fit and work effectively in the environment.

It explored how the correct use of equipment complies with legislation, whilst ensuring steps are taken to reduce musculoskeletal effort for the handler and patients are moved as safely as possible within the environment.
