Refining decision-making

By late adolescence, reasoning has developed from the early adolescent’s questions about themselves, for example “What do I want to do?” to taking into account other factors which might have wider or longer term consequences. This could include making a decision to follow a school subject that they are not currently as good at and drop one that that they don’t see as supporting their future career aspirations.
