6. Preparation and follow up
One way to ensure the precious time available is used most effectively in a ward round is to have a clear process for preparation and follow up around the issues that will be discussed. This will mean attendees are well prepared, involvement of carers and families is maintained, and agreed actions are followed up and monitored.
