Description

The physical changes taking place in Antarctica could have significant implications for everyone, ranging from unseasonal and disruptive weather patterns to rising sea levels. The challenges may seem insurmountable, yet small changes by individuals can accumulate and make a real difference.

This presentation will be the concluding event in our programme for EU Sustainable Energy Week. Our speaker for the evening is James Veness who has recently returned from the southernmost continent where he joined Robert Swan OBE, the acclaimed polar explorer and environmental campaigner, as part of his Antarctica 2041 mission. His overall message is a simple one: we can all make small changes to our lifestyle that can have a significant and positive impact on Antarctica.

Join us as we look at the bigger picture in the endeavour to prevent climate change and why it matters to all of us.
