Open day
The University of Nottingham's Sutton Bonington Campus is holding its first ever Science Open Day on Saturday 17 March 2012.
Hands-on science activities, tours and demonstrations to showcase science will be staged throughout the day. There will be a chance to find out how remote control helicopters can help plant scientists, how to lamb a sheep, and an opportunity to sample the delights of the highly successful student-run Sutton Bonington Farmers’ Market.
Family fun
There will be something for all ages from a Teddy Bear’s Vet Surgery and a demonstration about ‘bugs, bubbles and biofuels’ to science-themed movie screenings complete with expert introductions with snacks provided by our very own food scientists.
The event takes place from 11.30am to 15.30pm on Saturday 17 March 2012, at The University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington Campus, Sutton Bonington, Leicestershire, LE12 5RD.
