Description

The Football v Homophobia Nottingham Tournament kicks off on Saturday 7 September, featuring special guest Casey Stoney, England Women's Football Captain.

Families are welcome to come along and enjoy a day of sport and fun, and aspiring footballers can join in the fun by registering their team to compete. By promoting 'Football for Everyone', the tournament will be fun, inclusive and informative, so book your team in with the details below.

Football v Homophobia hopes to show that football takes a clear stand against homophobia, so that it can lead the way in removing sexual discrimination and prejudice based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

The day's events will break down as follows:

Tournament – 10.30am - 4.30pm

Discussion event – 2.45 – 3.45pm

The day will be based around The University of Nottingham Sports Centre, University Park. Teams are six aside with unlimited subs, and the fee is £5 per player. There is a female and male tournament but unfortunately due to FA sanctions and insurance, we cannot accept mixed teams.
