Thirsty Thursday is an event aimed at entrepreneurial students and graduates from The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University. It's a chance to hear from graduates from the two universities who have started their own business and to network with other enterprising students.
The November 2014 Thirsty Thursday event will feature:
Jon Proud, Titan Mouth-guards: Producing and supplying customisable sports mouth-guards.
Founded in 2011 by NTU graduate Jon Proud, Titan Mouth-Guards solves a problem experienced by many of those who play sports - the uncomfortable mouth-guard. Produced by dental technicians, using high quality materials Jon's product proves a lasting solution to many sportsman's problems. Jon started here at The Hive, and is now distributing his product across the country.
Alex Huntley, ArcWorlde: Fantasy skirmish miniatures game.
Currently a student at The University of Nottingham, Alex Huntley is the founder of Warploque Miniatures. Launching a Kickstarter campaign in 2013, Alex announced the arrival of his new venture ArcWorlde, a new miniature figurine game. Alex quickly reached his funding goal, having now amassed over ten times the original target and is pushing forward with the project.
