Description

Got Ideas? Got Ambition? Want to run your own business?

Thirsty Thursday is an event aimed at entrepreneurial students and graduates from The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University. It's a chance to hear from graduates from the two universities who have started their own business and to network with other enterprising students.

The February 2015 event will feature:

Stephen Jones, The British Quinoa Company

Stephen Jones is a PhD food science student at The University of Nottingham. Founded on his family farm in 2011, The British Quinoa Company are now the leading quinoa (a grain analogous to rice) producer in the UK. After just two full years of production, they now supply quinoa grain to companies such as Pret A Manger.

Chris Moss, The University Paper

Originally based in Nottingham, The University Paper is now one of the most popular student-led newspapers in the country, distributing 1.2 million copies across 30 different UK cities. The company was formed in 2012 by Nottingham Trent University Business School graduate Chris Moss. It has seen great growth over the past year after coming to an agreement with Simian Publishing.
