Archaeology are hosting a series of experimental events at the yurt this Friday.
The range of activities will include;
- dismantling the yurt
- digging a 3x3m test pit
- constructing a bread oven
- making pottery with clay.
Art Historians will also be getting involved to help create a vellum using a deer skin.
A special event entitled 'Bones and the stories they tell' will also take place from 10am - 12pm, where you can handle real bones, look at the casts of fossil ancestors and play guess the age of the piglet.
