This symposium will present and discuss research conducted as part of a programme of work funded by the National Institute for Health Research. The focus is improving the quality of care and outcome, for babies and their families, at very preterm birth (before 32 weeks gestation).

The aim is to bring together clinicians, parents, and researchers to discuss the research, and to consider implications for implementation and for future research.

Call for abstracts

Abstracts are invited for poster presentation in the following themes relevant to preterm birth:

  • Intrapartum care
  • Neonatal care in the delivery room
  • Parent experiences
  • Methodological issues in research

Top abstracts will be invited to give a short oral presentation, with a prize awarded for the best presentation. The deadline for abstract submission is 1pm, 1 August 2016.
