A workshop presented by Dr Debra Costley and Dr Anne Emerson, as part of our Continuing Professional Development programme Autism Friendly Schools: Strategies for Educators.
This practical workshop will provide secondary school staff with insight into the main strengths and challenges for students on the autism spectrum in a school environment.
It will be presented by Dr Debra Costley and Dr Anne Emerson both of whom have extensive experience of working with young people on the autism spectrum.
During the workshop, we will discuss a range of issues and strategies, including those related to learning theories, communication, social skills, sensory needs and emotion regulation.
Lunch and refreshments will be included in the cost of this event.
