Come and look around the breathtaking gardens at University Park — and help raise us money for charity.
As part of this year’s National Garden Scheme, the University of Nottingham is welcoming guests to explore the gardens at its University Park campus from 12.30pm – 4.00pm on Sunday 20 August.
University Park has many beautiful gardens including the award-winning Millennium garden, with its dazzling flower garden, timed fountains and turf maze, as well as the huge Lenton Firs rock garden, the Jekyll garden and more!
In total, there are more than 300 acres of landscape and gardens to look around.
Visitors to the open day will also be able to enjoy the picnic area, cafe and walking tours. An accessible minibus will be available to transport visitors to feature gardens around the campus — and plants will also be for sale in the Millennium garden.
The open garden event will help raise funds for the National Garden Scheme — the UK’s most significant charitable funder of nursing charities. NGS beneficiary charities include The Queen’s Nursing Institute, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Carers Trust, Hospice UK, Perennial, Parkinson’s UK and other guest charities.
Admission to this event is £3.00. Children go free.
Parking is free of charge and light refreshments will be available at the Lakeside Arts Centre.
You can buy tickets from the Millennium Garden, or find out more at www.ngs.org.uk.
