The University of Nottingham is proud to be working in partnership with Nottingham Trent University to provide a celebratory event in recognition of International Women’s Day 2018.

On Thursday 8 March, our university communities will join forces to host a motivating and inspirational event celebrating the achievements of women in Nottingham.

Speakers include:

  • Nora Senior, Executive Chair, UK Regions & Ireland and Head of EMEA Energy, Weber Shandwick
  • Kirsty Clode, Chair for Women into Manufacturing Engineering (WiME)
  • Kat Banyard, Co-Founder and Director, UK Feminista
  • Alan Holey, University of Nottingham Students' Union President
  • Martha Longdon, Nottingham Trent University Students’ Union President
  • Professor Steve Howdle, Professor and Head of the School of Chemistry, University of Nottingham
  • Professor Mark Biggs, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Head of College of Science and Technology, Nottingham Trent University

Professor Shearer West, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Nottingham, and Professor Eunice Simmons, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Nottingham Trent University, will be joining us for the occasion.
