Seventy years after India gained independence, an exhibition at Nottingham Lakeside Arts reveals the acts of resistance that shaped the British Empire in India, based on Manuscripts and Special Collections’s extensive archives on colonial India.

Threads of Empire will run until Sunday 20 August at the Weston Gallery, Nottingham Lakeside Arts.
