The Faculty of Arts would like to cordially invite you to a one-day conference exploring Social Media in Higher Education.
This inter-faculty event will see staff from all across the University exploring a number of themes about all aspects of Social Media in Higher Education and will be of interest to educators, researchers and professional services staff across the entire institution.
We are putting together an exciting programme of presentations addressing a number of themes, and we will be drawing on the perspectives of senior leaders, academic and professional services staff, and students, to explore the use of Social Media across the entire spectrum of activities in higher education.
We’ll be hearing how researchers are using social media to build communities and disseminate their work, and we’ll find out how teaching staff are finding new ways to use social media in their interactions with students, and to drive innovation in teaching and learning.
We’ll be learning about social media in our professional lives and thinking about how we help students to develop the skills they need to exploit social media in their careers. And we’ll be exploring the darker side of social media and unpacking some of the real issues we face in this new and ever-changing medium.
The conference is free to attend for University of Nottingham staff. Please register online and see further information on the #UoNSMart web site. Follow #UoNSMart.
