Learn wildlife surveying skills at this free event, with the UoN Conservation Society.
This event takes place as part of the University of Nottingham Biodiversity Action Plan to identify the beasts (both flora and fauna) of UoN.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from ecologists at EMEC consultancy during the following events:
- 1-3pm: Botany identification (An essential skill for phase 1 habitat surveys, for those interested in a career with ecological consultancies or conservation)
- 3:30-5pm: Protected species surveys
- 9-10:30pm: Bat walk
Two experienced ecologists will be available for each session and attendees are invited to bring questions to ask.
