Symposium of Research in Human Flourishing from the Clinic. Presented by Cecelia Bayliss-Conway, Jackie Colley, Jessica Honeybun and Jen Holland.
This seminar is dedicated to a symposium of research conducted by final year MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy students for their dissertation research. Each project includes analysis of data collected within The Human Flourishing Project, which is a person-centred research clinic operating within the city of Nottingham. The variety of research produced within these short presentations, (amongst others that were completed last year), demonstrate the breadth and scope of research projects that are achievable through a set a measures designed to measure psychological growth within the therapeutic relationship.
Jen Holland – presents a validation of the Scales of General Well-Being (SGWB) as a measure of human flourishing in psychotherapy
Cecelia Bayliss-Conway – presents her research on the extent to which the therapeutic relationship facilitates authentic growth
Jackie Colley – presents findings on the nature of the relation between client ratings of empathy, experiencing and outcomes
Jessica Honeybun – presents her findings on the relationship between hegemonic masculinity and levels of experiencing for male clients in person-centred psychotherapy
This symposium will take place on Wednesday 21 November from 18.00 to 19.30.
