ESRC Open Day Xibo Slide 720x315

Are you interested in applying for Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC) funding for your Postgraduate Study in the Social Sciences? Come along to this open afternoon to find out more.

'ESRC' stands for the Economic and Social Research Council. The ESRC is one of seven Research Councils in the UK, and is the UK's largest organisation for funding research on economic and social issues. It supports independent, high quality research which has an impact on business, the public sector and civil society.

ESRC funding for postgraduate students is delivered via its Doctoral Training Network. The Midlands Graduate School (MGS) is one of the ESRC's Doctoral Training Partnerships which forms part of this network: a consortium of 6 Universities that have come together to provide the highest quality doctoral training and cohort building centres of excellence in the country and beyond.

As part of the MGS, the University of Nottingham offers 13 training pathways, from Economics to Politics, Sociology to Psychology and Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Come along to find out more and how to apply for these prestigious awards.

NOTE: these particular scholarships are only available to Home or EU students, with a small exception in the field of Economics. More information about eligibility can be found here.
