An event in association with the Penrose Institute — with Sir Roger Penrose, University of Oxford, and Professor Ivette Fuentes, Professor of Mathematical Physics, Faculty of Science.

The School of Mathematical Sciences and the Penrose Institute presents the public lecture titled 'How do we see black holes?', featuring:

  • World renowned mathematical physicist Sir Roger Penrose (Emeritus Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics in the University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of Wadham College, Oxford)
  • Professor Ivette Fuentes (Professor of Mathematical Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Nottingham)

Sir Roger Penrose will give a talk on the topic of cosmology and Professor Ivette Fuentes will give a talk on the topic of gravitational wave detection.

The event takes place from 7pm, Friday 20 July 2018 at Keighton Auditorium, University Park.
