An evening showcasing the career paths of women in different industries, and telling the story of the adversities and challenges that they overcame to get to where they are today.

The evening will run as follows:

  • 6pm-6.15pm: Registration
  • 6.15pm-7pm: Panel session where each speaker will give you their story
  • 7pm-7.15pm: Refreshments
  • 7.15pm-8pm: Q&A session where you will get the chance to answer YOUR questions
  • 8pm-8.30pm: Informal networking and close

Confirmed speakers:

Clare Hartley: After graduating from the University of Nottingham, Clare travelled to Australia and worked at the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games as a admin assistant. She loved the experience and realised that there were some great opportunities in the industry.

This led to roles at Commonwealth Games, Special Olympics World Games, Race for Life Team and UK Sport, culminating in London 2012 where she led the Road Events Team.

Since 2012 Clare has built up her own company working and advising on multi-sport events in the UK and abroad including Tour de France, UK School Games, Special Olympics National Games, World Triathlon Series and Tokyo 2020.

Georgie Lack: After graduating from the University of Nottingham, Georgie started working as an Account Executive with Marlin PR, which works with brands such as Yahoo and Tumblr and specialises in raising the profile of start-ups.

After a year in this role, Georgie progressed to a Senior Account Executive with the same company and took ownership of key client relationships and developing client programmes and campaigns.

Georgie now works as a PR Manager for Catapult Sports and is responsible for press coverage and social media.

 

This is a free event, presented as part of International Women's Day 2018.
