The Women's Network is hosting an event on Thursday 8 March in celebration of International Women's Day.

Open to everyone, the event will take place in The Hub, Portland Building, and will comprise a number of sessions:

10am: Yoga taster session
11am: Public speaker and confidence workshop
12.15pm: "What does International Women's Day mean to me?" - Laura Bealin-Kelly
1.30pm: "What does international Women's Day mean to me?" - Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shearer West
5pm: Spoken word/poetry showcase open to all

Throughout the day there will be hot drinks and cakes, a craft corner, magazines, a whiteboard so you can tell us why you're celebrating, and a chance to chat to the Women's Network committee. You can also join in the with the spoken word/poetry showcase whether you've written anything before or not. It's an opportunity for you to perform your work in a relaxed and supportive environment.
