Description

National Individual Floating Transport Infrastructure (NIFTI) – a proposal to transform transportation in the 21st Century and beyond.

NIFTI is in essence is a pod which moves by magnetic levitation. The road essentially becomes the engine, both levitating and propelling the pod as it passes over. Based on electromagnetic coils, a powerful magnetic array and state-of-the-art sensing equipment, NIFTI provides passengers the freedom to move without interference and potentially, without harm to the environment.

This event will take place 4-5pm on Thursday 17 October in C27, Physics Building, University Park Campus.

Refreshments will be available and all are welcome.
