As part of our No Place for Hate campaign, we're running bystander workshops across our campuses so that we can learn to stand up as a community to create a safe, supportive campuses.
Claire Thompson, Head of Student Welfare, will be holding a workshop to discuss how we can be active bystanders to help challenge - and stop - hate behaviour in support of the University and the Students' Union's ‘No Place for Hate’ campaign.
This hour-long session will be an opportunity to explore behaviours which lead to abuse and harassment and to identify ways in which we can challenge these behaviours in our community.
This training has been delivered to key student groups such as Welfare Officers and Welcome mentors over the last four years, and is a positive and constructive response to very difficult issues.
