The University of Nottingham is pleased to welcome His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, current Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, as keynote speaker of the first Nottingham Africa Policy Dialogue taking place on Monday 26 July 2021 at 3.30pm BST (2.30pm GMT). HE Dr Bawumia will speak on “Digital Transformation in the Public Sector: Lesson and Opportunities from Ghana”.
Professor Robert Mokaya, Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement, invites all members of the University community to join what promises to be an interesting discussion around the possibilities offered by digital transformation in meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 as well as achieving the African Union’s Agenda 2063 vision for the continent’s development. Through the Nottingham Africa Policy Dialogues, the University will highlight existing areas of research expertise whilst hearing from key policy makers and industry leaders on their priorities and activities. This will also serve to inform the University’s future research and collaboration strategy for and with Africa.
