This session is for UoN staff, who work directly with students or who plan for their needs. It will cover who is legally defined as disabled, give examples of inclusive practice and introduce the concept of neurodiversity. It will outline our responsibilities towards disabled students and provide guidance on the most appropriate way to talk about disability.
The session will be led by staff from our Disability Support Service; Kim Lawson (Senior Manager, Accessibility) and Kate Taylor (Senior Disability Adviser) and last for 1 hour. There will also be an optional 30 minute Q and A session at the end.
