Dr Alexus McNally writes for Jurist News

The Human Rights Law Centre is delighted to continue its collaboration with Jurist News, for the fourth consecutive year. Our most recent contribution, written by HRLC Member, Dr Alexus McNally, addresses the failures of Trinidad & Tobago’s criminal justice system, and argues that these, in combination with the country's withdrawal from international human rights oversight, have created a systemic issue in pre-trial detention, in which the accused are held for years without trial.

The HRLC's partnership ongoing partnership, offers students and staff at the University of Nottingham a platform to contribute to the global legal discourse on critical legislative developments and their broader impacts.
