New ISAC Case Studies

Want to see more of the surface analytical expertise and facilities at the University of Nottingham and it's impact? Two new case studies showcasing the breadth of applications we work on are now available on the ISAC website.

AFM topographical and mechanical images of polymeric microspheres

Firstly see how Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) have enabled Dr. Antonino La Rocca and his team in the Engine Research Group to provide novel and highly valuable insight into soot-in-engine oil contamination. Secondly see how one of the Drug Delivery and Disposition (University of Leuven) and Laboratory of Biophysics and Surface Analysis' (Nottingham) students Joke Meeus has been able to utilise Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) to further her excellent research into drug loaded polymeric microparticles.

View the case studies here and learn more about the exciting ways surface and interface science is making an impact.
