Michele Giordano has joined NGI to work on the PRoViDE (Planetary Robotics Vision Data Exploitation) FP7 project, from today to the end of 2015. Michele has a great deal of experience in WebGIS and open source GIS, including the presentation of image data online. He has worked at the University of Naples and as a Senior Consultant and project manager in commercial GIS projects. These are all very relevant skills, as our component of PRoViDE integrates Martian and Lunar rover data and derived photogrammetric products with orbital imagery, to be presented online, with tools for geologists to interpret surface geology of these bodies.
