TRANSMIT Newsletter

We are pleased to make available the first issue of the TRANSMIT project newsletter.

TRANSMIT - Training Research and Applications Network to Support the Mitigation of Ionospheric Threats (www.transmit-ionosphere.net), is an FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network, focused on the study of ionospheric phenomena and their effects on systems embedded in our daily life. The project particularly addresses ionospheric threats to Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and related applications, in areas such as civil aviation, marine navigation and land transportation.

TRANSMIT aims to initiate the research and training of young scientists in Europe in this field - the TRANSMIT fellows. The newsletters will report on project status through short articles authored by these young scientists, whilst also providing a vehicle for discussion, with input from experts in related industry and academia.

The newsletter will be issued twice a year. We hope that you enjoy reading it.

Best regards,
