MMT does ASPE

Sofia Catalucci, Mohammed Isa, Richard Leach and Lewis Newton attended the 34th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Precision Engineering (ASPE) from 28th October to the 1st November 2019 in Pittsburgh, USA. Sofia presented an oral paper on “Intelligent systems for optical form measurement: automated assessment of pose and coverage” and Isa an oral on “Kinematic error analysis of stage tracking using stereo vision”. Richard was nominated for an ASPE board position (to be voted on), presented the MMT work at the University of Pittsburgh and co-chaired the annual meeting on Precision Engineering journal. The next meeting will be in Mineapolis 2020. Thanks to Dr Graham Siddal for sponsoring Sofia to attend as part of his annual prize to MMT. Sofia will now go on for a secondment in UNCC.
