Nicola Senin and Wahyudin Syam attended the 15th CIRP CAT Conference 2018 in Milan, Italy
Nicola Senin and Wahyudin Syam attended The 15th CIRP Computer-Aided Tolerancing (CAT) conference held on 11 to 13 June 2018 in Milan, Italy. CIRP CAT is a well-known conference in tolerance and dimensional measurement and is held once every two years. A total of 71 papers were presented during the conference by international delegates. In the conference, Nicola presented a keynote paper entitled “Information-rich surface metrology” . The keynote attracted much attention and shed light on the vast field and the importance of feature analysis methods on surface texture measurements beyond classical surface texture analysis. Wahyudin held one session “Tolerance Verification 1” as a chairman of the session. In addition, Wahyudin also presented a paper entitled “In-process measurement of the surface quality for a novel finishing process for polymer additive manufacturing”. The paper is a result of an industrial collaborative project with Additive Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) in Sheffield.
