MMT strong presence at euspen 2018

Patrick Bointon, Lars Körner, Richard Leach, Giacomo Maculotti, Lewis Newton, Pablo Pérez (student from Zaragosa), Danny Sims-Waterhouse and Luke Todhunter attended the 18th International Conference of the European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (euspen) in Venice, Italy from 4th to 7th June 2018. The meeting was attended by around 370 precision engineering, metrology and manufacturing experts, from across the world, from a mixture of industrial and research backgrounds. MMT had a total of 7 papers (all available here).

Oral:

Patrick “The effects of vibration on fringe projection systems”
Danny “Photogrammetric coordinate metrology”

Poster:

Luke “A programmable software framework for the generation of simulated surface topography”
Lewis “Feature-based characterisation of evolving surface topographies in finishing operations for additive manufacturing”
Pablo “Lateral error compensation for focus variation microscopy”
Lars “Development of an X-ray radiograph simulator: from STL file to grey scale image”
Giacomo “Measurement noise evaluation, noise bandwidth specification and temperature effects in 3D point autofocusing microscopy”.
Richard also chaired a metrology session. The next meeting in the series will be in Bilboa in 2019.
