Manufacturing Metrology Team

Teguh Santoso and Wahyudin Syam attended the MICROMAN project mid-term meeting in Leuven, Belgium

The MICROMAN project mid-term meeting (13 to 14 September) and the 5th MICROMAN School in precision ceramic processing (11 to 15 September) were held at the Mechanical Engineering Department, KU Leuven. The ceramic processing school exposed the MICROMAN students to subjects ranging from processing ceramic materials to precision wire-EDM cutting of the processed materials. The school was divided into two parts: lectures and hands-on workshops on ceramic powder, ceramic processing and ceramic cutting. The first day of the meeting was attended by representatives of the EU Commission, who monitored the overall progress of the project. Very good feedback from the Commission was received as well as future suggestions to improve the overall project for the next 24 months. The second day of the meeting discussed the preparation of the WP3 “Micro manufacturing fingerprint” deliverable and the kick-off of the WP4 “In-line process/product metrology” deliverable.
