Teguh Santoso and Wahyudin Syam attended the 8th MICROMAN project general meeting (2 to 3 July) and the 7th MICROMAN micro forming workshop (28 June to 2 July). The meeting and workshop were held at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.
The general meeting discussed the progress of all MICROMAN PhD projects, technical progress of the project and finalised the content of the Work Package (WP) 4 “In-line process/product metrology” deliverable.
The workshop included lectures on diamond turning, micro milling, hybrid micromachining, micro stamping, micro sintering and micro hot embossing. In order to acquire broader knowledge regarding forming processes, the students had a short visit to Advanced Forming Research Centre Research (AFRC) in Glasgow. Furthermore, the students had a practical lab work on micro milling of forming tools and diamond turning of lenses.
