Teguh Santoso and Wahyudin Syam attended the 9th MICROMAN project general meeting

Teguh Santoso and Wahyudin Syam attended the 9th MICROMAN project general meeting (12 to 13 November 2018) and the 8th MICROMAN workshop in micro forming and extrusion (13 to 16 November 2018 ) at the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. The general meeting discussed the progress of all MICROMAN’s student projects and current progress of MICROMAN project. University of Nottingham as the leader of Work Package 4, presented the current progress of the deliverable “In-line process/product metrology”.

The workshop included lectures on micro milling and micro extrusion. In order to understand the fundamentals of micro milling, MICROMAN students had a hands-on practice session of the micro-scale machining of a green parts for micro-scale extrusion using a micro milling machine as well as evaluating the machining results. Also, the students had a short visit to ENKI to gain a broad knowledge about micro-scale extrusion in Brescia, Italy. ENKI is an engineering company that specialises in manufacturing of multilumen, multilayer, conical and modular flexibility microtubes.
