Academic Visitor,
Dr Dong has been an academic visitor in the Manufacturing Metrology Team (MMT) at the University of Nottingham since Nov. 2022 under the State Scholarship Fund supported by the CSC. He is also an associate professor of optoelectronic information engineering at Hefei University of Technology, China. His current research interest is the development of optical methods for dynamic precision measurement of laser-induced thermoelastic surface displacement.
Dr Dong has published 40+ papers in refereed international journals and international conferences and holds 10+ patents. His recent research on photothermal techinique for nanoscale thermoelastic surface displacement measurement was published in Appl. Phys. Lett. and promoted as Featured Article and AIP Scilight. The extension of the technique ranging from optics to semiconductors were published in Appl. Phys. Lett. and Opt. Express, which were both selected as Editors′ Pick. He is a reviewer for several international journals including Applied Physics Letters, Optics Letters, Optics Express, Measurement Science and Technology, Review of Scientific Instruments, Applied Optics, etc.
